Teletrac Releases New 960CE MDT with Address Entry Feature.

Arlington, Texas

Teletrac is pleased to announce the availability of a new message display terminal: the 960CE.This two-way data device is the in vehicle hardware that facilitates Teletrac’s robust communications. This latest version operates on a Windows CE platform, and will allow for over the air changes. "We realize that any measures we can take to keep fleets optimized are the name of the game. Being able to program our entire in vehicle hardware offering over the air gets us closer to that goal" said Rex Frye, Director of Operations for Teletrac.

Another key benefit the 960CE delivers is the address entry feature for turn-by-turn navigation.

Historically, routes could only be initiated from a dispatcher or a secondary touchscreen. With the new CE device, customers can experience the benefits of two way messaging and driver initiated address entry from the same device. The 960CE utilizes NAVTEQ® map data of North America to provide reliable, accurate routing.

Additionally, the new messaging terminal supports current federal 395 FMCSA and individual state Hours of Service rules and can be updated quickly if any rule changes occur. Teletrac’s HOS system has been fully certified to be used by fleet owners required to use electronic onboard recording devices.

Teletrac Executive Vice President, Drew Hamilton said, "We are excited to bring this product to market. It should round out our product offering; while at the same time respond to our clients need for a more robust message display terminal."
