Using Fleet Director vehicle fleet manager allows you to dramatically reduce the risk of road breakdowns and resulting schedule disruptions with on-board vehicle diagnostics and vehicle monitoring.

Fleet Director’s advanced technology platform let’s you integrate engine diagnostics information with GPS data, transferring engine fault codes and other vehicle performance metrics to the desktop of maintenance personnel in real time.

The benefit: preventive maintenance becomes part of the organization's standard operating procedures, potential failures can be diagnosed before they happen, and in-field breakdowns and associated costs can be significantly reduced.

Furthermore, many customers have now moved to use-based maintenance scheduling, to further reduce costs while improving the performance of their fleets.

This flexible module collects vehicle and engine operating data via a standard J-bus or OBDII connection to the vehicle's Electronic Control Module (ECM). Raw data is then processed by the Fleet Director vehicle monitoring software to produce detailed vehicle diagnostics reports.

As illustrated in the report example, reports can include engine fault codes, engine operating hours, in-motion time, idling time, fuel consumption, engine over-speeding, vehicle speeds and other key operating information.
